Roman Anemones Vase. Porcelain. Vase in shape of pitcher; turned handle; painted on two sides in purple, green, sienna. Signed on bottom. Inscrription reads: Roman Anemones, Celia Thaxter, 1881.

Donated by Thomas and Joan Read in 2002. Vase was given to Thomas Read's great grandmother Elizabeth Coolidge Howe Folsom, and was passed down through his family, E.C.H. Folsom spent time at the Shoals and knew Celia Thaxter.
